Pendavey Christmas Dressage

Pendavey Equestrian Centre held their Christmas Dressage event with success. The event was organised with the aim to encourage those new to dressage to 'have a go' in a low key, relaxed atmosphere and was judged by Linden Mair, chairman of the Cornwall Dressage Group who offered the riders good advice and encouragement.

Jemma Parsons riding Celestial Flight was the winner of Pendavey's Walk and Trot test which had been written especially for Pendavey by one of their supporters Jenny Trethewey. The test proved to be very popular and in second place was Sarah McCormack on her black Fell pony Rosmarth Raindrop who competed at the Horse of the Year Show in the ridden Mountain and Moorland class earlier this year. Proprietor of Rose Equestrian, Fliss Nash won the hotly contested Prelim No.7 riding Calingford Nocturne with ten year-old Mollie Trethewey taking second riding her trustworthy Dartmoor Pony Blackberry. Mollie rode in all three tests at the event on three different ponies collecting awards in each class.

Lucy Booth from Cardinham was another rider who rode in all three tests. Taking first place in Prelim No.18 with Portman who also gained fourth in Prelim No.7 and fifth place in the Walt and Trot on Night Fever.

The event was such a success that Pendavey are holding further dressage events on Sunday 12 February and Sunday 12 March. Schedules will be available in the New Year by sending a SAE: Rose Equestrian Supplies, Pendavey EC, Sladesbridge, Wadebridge, Cornwall . PL27 6JD
