Spurs Festive Jumping.

S purs show jumping held their first show during the daytime with success between Christmas and New Year. Although not forecast in our area, snow fell in the region but it didn't put off any competitors. All classes were full with plenty of entries. The committee received lots of praise from the riders about the fantastic course which was built once again by Andrew James.

Once again the Fowlie brothers featured well in the results with Rob winning the Restricted Novice on Bahamian Frontier and Kennan winning the 2ft 6in open on Holcombe Hector. Chloe Brown on Daisy won the Nursery Stakes class where the jumps were at 1ft 3in. Abby Phillips won the Horse and Hound class riding her horse Arnie and dog Harvey . Carol Dunster on ILPH Boxer added to their points by winning the larger open plus the Joker and gained second in the 2ft 6in open.

Spurs show jumping wish to thank the sponsors of the event; class one, DA & F Penter, Classes 2,3,4 - Jackie Stanley`s Estate Agency & Harbour Holidays, Classes 5,6,7 - Carols School Of Motoring. The next show is on Thursday 12 January starting at 6.30pm prompt with the fun class two being a new experiment of Snooker on horseback.
