Mike Johns made his debut in course building for the evening and said he wanted to build a technical and demanding course, which is what it proved to be. The Novice class, which is always superbly represented was won by Ann-Marie Ryder on Tyler who just pipped young Amy Parkin on Black Knight to the post.

The second class of the evening was the Joker class where the fence went right up to one metre with only two riders opting out of the Joker fence. Competition was very keen with twin brothers Kennon and Rob Fowlie proving hard to beat, the class was eventually won by Kennon on Holcombe Hector and his brother Rob on Pinto taking second place.

The Open class was also up to height and proved very demanding for many riders. Resulting in jump offs for first and second place between Bugle based Carol Dunster on ILPH Boxer and Newquay Riding clubs Emily Johns on Willow . Plus third and fourth place between two boys; Kennon Fowlie and Nathan Sykes.

Victory went to Carol on ILPH Boxer who said; "Spurs show jumping is so very well organised. It is a credit to them, you have someone letting you in and letting you out as well as making sure the whole event runs to time". The sponsor for the evening was St Austell Trophies who donated beautiful trophies and plaques to the winners.

All the proceeds of the spurs show jumping events will be donated to charity at the end of the season.
