Christmas Dressage
T he Cornwall Dressage Group held a highly successful Christmas Dressage to Music Party. Overheard by one of the spectators; "This was the best ever performance put on by the group, Cornwall 's answer to Olympia ".
Sam Mountain on Elegance was the opening rider in her elf costume riding to 'I believe in Father Christmas' she gave a great festive performance. A pas de Deux performed by Scott and Verity alias Inspector Clousseau and the Pink Panther with their well matched horses. Penny Tempest and Devil for Diamonds in festive dress to Christmas music gave a wonderful happy display. George Forrest and Bally Skittles returned again giving a classy performance in evening dress to Latin music which flowed from start to finish.
Preparing for six months with dedication and commitment a multi talented group of riders, horses and ponies gave a good performance which made the audience laugh and was pure entertainment that ran smoothly showing the correct basics in the scales of training.
Claire Deithrick and Alando gave an enjoyable happy performance 'The Irish Colleen' to pan pipe music dressed in an appropriate green dress to the delight of the audience. Georgia Stokes found the right buttons to push on Finn and could have been a contestant in the come dancing programme riding to her Salsa music which suited the horse perfectly. The last rider was Kerry Lynch and Quick opened his display to Michael Jackson's ' Beat It' the horse was truly in rhythm with the music and ended with 'Life is like a Butterfly'.
